Social Network Analysis Workshop

The main goal of the workshop was to give an introduction to the theory and methods of network analysis, to aid decision making process with multiple stakeholders in relation to natural resources management. This methods provide visual and mathematical tools that allow the study of the formed structures through relations or flows of people, groups, organizations and/or resources.

The main objective of this event was to explore potential inter-network collaborations between RISZA and consolidated CONACYT Thematic Networks such as AGARED, Red Temática de Investigación de Educación Rural, Red Temática Género, Sociedad y Medio Ambiente, Red de Energía Solar and other local/regional dryland networks such as "Red de Culturas del Desierto" (Network on Desert Cultures) coordinated by Dr. Adán Cano Aguilar, Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez and the "Red de Acuíferos y Sustentabilidad en el Norte Árido de México (RASNAM)" (Network on Groundwater and Sustainability in Northern Mexico´s Drylands) (RASNAM)" coordinated by Dr. Víctor Manuel Reyes Gómez, Instituto de Ecología, Chihuahua.
